May 2021 Pastor Session Update

The second Pastor’s training session was rescheduled to May 16th -28th after the covid lockdown was lifted on 1st May. Read the report below from DPTC Executive Director, Paul Njuguna.

“Our class of 2020 is anxious to finish their program and graduate so they can create room for others. All the same we thank God for preserving all of us and can only praise him when we are able to conduct training.

For the session, we lined up four courses of study as we do every other session. We had; Christian Education, Introduction to Islam, Comparative religions, and Servant leadership. We also had other programs like morning devotions where an exposition of the book of Nehemiah was done. One student Pastor Josphat Kamau had an infection which caused bursting of his eardrum. The infection was caused by a swollen tonsil. For our Sunday  Mission outreach, we took the class to Thika where Pastor Miriam Marete has a new church plant. It was exciting to see the class participate in the worship service and also at the open air crusade meeting at the shopping center in Makongeni, Thika.
