February School Update

After the major Covid disruption last year which affected training sessions and the graduation of the class of 2020, classes finally resumed on February 7, 2021.

The team at DPT had greatly missed the group of Pastors and were anxious to hear their testimonies of God’s faithfulness and preservation in the midst of challenging times.

Four courses were planned over the 10 day period.

  • Marriage and family counseling – Teacher Paul Njuguna
  •  The doctrine of the Holy Spirit – Elder Oseje
  • Acts of the Apostles – Rev. Makena
  • Contemporary socials issues – Rev Wambua

For the Sunday Ministry Outreach, the class had requested to go to the class President’s church in Kinangop.  So, on Sunday, February 14, Paul hired a bus and headed for Kinangop Mkungi GOA Church where student Stephen Kimiti ministers. What a great time of worship they had together!

While at Kinangop, Paul’s family hosted a surprise visit for the class to visit his home where a goat roast was held before returning to the camp to beat Covid curfew hours.

During the two weeks, it was a great joy to see the Pastors relaxed, praying together and sharing experiences to edify and encourage one another in the ministry.  Indeed, it was a mountain experience where the Pastors left for home recharged for ministry. Their ministry needs were all lifted before the Lord and Paul shared with them how they can best pray for Care to Learn international and there are so many testimonies of answered prayer.
